Bathtime

I've been dying to scrap this absolutely gorgeous picture of Erin-Rose for a couple of weeks now

she looks so adorable in her little yellow bathrobe:)  I printed it off on my little Selphy and left it on my desk and it ended up getting a mark on the bottom part of the photo so I cropped it a bit.  I've used it to complete the August house challenge on UKs which was to scrap a photo bigger than 6" x 4", use at least 4 patterned papers, a pinch of green, some tags or journalling cards and a sprinkling of buttons or beads.  I made my layout 6" x 6" so although my photo was only 4" x 4" after cropping, it looks like a big photo on the page if you see what I mean!

I've used all Stampin Up products apart from the buttons on the banner and the alphas for the title

Amazing Birthday

I was looking forward to doing some scrapbooking this morning when I remembered it's my brother's birthday at the end of the week so I've just made him a quick card using the most fabulous stamp set from Stampin Up called Amazing Birthday.  I can see this is going to be so useful for those male cards we all seem to find difficult!

In hindsight I shouldn't have taken the photo against a white background when I have used a white card as my base Lol!

I've used blackberry bliss, hello honey and lost lagoon cardstock and matching inks - oh and some real red ink too (my absolute fav).

August Beat the Christmas Rush

For once  I'm not lastminutedotcom and have got my BtCR cards done before the 25th of the month!

I've used some of the new SU stamps, from the Autumn/Winter catalogue due out soon and I really rather like them :)  This set is called White Christmas and there are 13 stamps altogether.

I got the idea for this card from another SU demonstrator who clearly has more idea about colouring in than I do Lol!

If you want to join in with BtCR there is still time - pop over to Sue's blog where you will find all the details.

A new baby card

Our first grandchild was born on Tuesday so I've made a card for Adam and Lucy using the SU stamps I bought especially for this occasion:)

There is lots of fussy cutting and layers

making it a bit front heavy so to counteract this, instead of using a traditional paper insert I used three layers of card stock - white, pink then white on the back to make it more stable.

I hope they like it:)
