Rufus Stone

A nice easy weekly challenge, just what was needed lol!  The criteria was, use one or more 4" x 6" photo, use a punch and incorporate some history into the page.
I thought I'd start my holiday album off by doing a layout of the boat we will be staying in, in North Devon.
I coloured the cogs using rusty hinge distress ink and then embossed with vintage photo (I didn't have rusty hinge) distress embossing powder.  I've never really got the hang of these distress embossing powders but today, I can see it has made the cogs look old and a bit rusty which is what I was after.

I can see that I will want to play around with these alot more now:)

The cogs look great Susi - just like rusty metal. That's another distress ink I need now - rusty hinge!! And well done for getting the WC finished so quickly - go to the top of the class!

I've got the ink but not the powder! Rats, more to buy! Those cogs are so effective.
