My first layout as guest designer at Creative Craft World

This challenge was set by Lou and the theme is love.  There is a sketch too but I can't attach it at the moment so I'll just link this to the blog where you'll be able to see it.

The photo I have used is one taken in 2006 and my "love" aspect is a bit tongue in cheek.  I could have said I love my new slim figure as at this time I'd lost 2.5 stones, or that I loved my car but I chose my slippers.  They were my first pair of boot slippers and I absolutely loved them and wore them until they totally disintegrated.

The London Eye

I have used last week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch for this page.  The photos were taken last November when Maria, Laura and I met up in London.  We went on The London Eye curtesy of Tesco vouchers and the hidden journalling basically says that we didn't see many of the sights while we were up there as we were too busy catching up.  Maria was looking at her CJ pages I'd brought for her too.

True Friendship

The weekly challenge over on UKs had a long list of things we could chose from to add to our page and you had to use 4.  My four were:- doodling, use one stamp, hidden journalling and ribbon but not in a bow.  There was also a sketch to use and the theme of friends.

This picture was taken in Novemeber when I met up with Laura and Maria (my Bijoux Belle teamies) in London.  We had a lovely day together.

Funny boy

Another challenge on CCW, again using a sketch with the addition of flowers somewhere on the page.  My paper is quite flowery anyway, but I have added a paper rose.

My stint as  a guest designer with Creative Craftworld starts next week, so I'm going to clear my desk and get ready...

Birthday card for Chris's Mum

I had to make a quick card last night for MIL's birthday today.  I did start one a couple of weeks ago but I have tidied up and don't know where it's gone:(  Never mind, when I do find it, I'll be able to use it for someone else.

Cute and Cuddly card challenge on CCW

There is a new challenge over on Creative Craft World to come up with a cute and cuddly card so I have made this one using one of my favourtie dog stamps.

CCW Scrap Map Saturday 22-28 Jan

This week there was another sketch using the design from a Best Western Hotel Brochure and this is what I have come up with - a page depicting Holly's first ever riding experience which was a 21st birthday present from her friend Steph.

Gingerbread House

Not a very good photo but this house caused me no end of grief and I'm glad it's over and done with and at the time of writing this, almost eaten!  Holly loved it though, so that was the main thing.

Jen is a lovely new member of the Bijoux Belles and it was her birthday yesterday and this is the card I sent her.

UKs Jan week 3 challenge and CCW sketch challenge

I've combined two challenges in one here.  There is a sketch over on Creative Craft World and you have to scrap a celebration so I think a new baby would be classed as a celebration!  On UKs, we have to use a sketch of our own choice, use old pps and alter them in some way so I have made lollipop flowers out of scraps.  Use ribbon, the treasured moments sentiment at the bottom right of the picture is ribbon and use a piece of chipboard.  I found a circle of chipboard with a Christmas decoration on it and have covered it with the baby sticker, so all elements covered.

Cute

I am lucky to have this photo.  It was saved onto my external hard drive and the original deleted off my pc.  The ehd packed up so all my precious photos were gone.  I tried various people who specialise in recovering data but they couldn't help.  Anyway to cut a long story short, Holly plugged in the ehd to my laptop and it  opened and she managed to save 2 folders of photos  She has tried since but hasn't managed to get the ehd working again.

UKs week 2 weekly challenge

This week we had to use at least 3 patterned papers, some neglected die cuts, (the large snowflake) which I found when cleaning my craftroom the other day, some scraps off our work desk - I had some other snowflakes lying around from making my Christmas cards and finally use an old or forgotten ink pad.  I bought about 30 ink pads about 10 years ago from QVC and I used a blue one to colour the snowflake.

UKs weekly challenge and CCW sketch challenge

The UKs challenge was to use new stash, time or a clock and creative writing.  The fabric with the dresses on is new, so is the clock and keys which I triple embossed using black and silver powders.  I  used the sketch from Creative Craft World blog  so thanks to Sue for that. 

Woo hoo!!

My New Years resolution page won over on the CCW challenge!  I get to spend £5 in their shop:)  Guess who's a happy bunny?

Creative Craftworld Challenge - Scrap your New Years Resolutions

I have quite a few unfinished projects lying around my craft room gathering dust and it is my aim this year to finish anything that is outstanding and make sure that anything I do undertake in the coming months is completed staright away.  With this in mind the challenge on CCW was perfect.   I used the sketch that Sue, a DT member kindly provided for those who like a sketch and I am certainly a sketch girl!!
