My friend Janet over on the Bijoux Belles mentioned she was going to make some cheese scones. I haven't made these in years and really fancied some...........
I am actually pleased with the finished result but there are things I would do differently if I were doing another. The roof caused me the most grief - I tried circles, squares and triangles in white card, a border punch, scalloped edge scissors - the list goes on. In the end, I used more of the patterned papers and flower soft for some snow.
I haven't adorned all of the drawers - I can't decide whether to add some Christmassy words to the others or just leave as is. I'm not good with blank spaces, I like to fill them up!
Still to do are the roof tiles, the chimney and some Christmas lights.
I got this house last year from Tesco but never got around to decorating it. I've decided that now Adam and Lucy have their own house, I will decorate it for them and fill the drawers with small gifts.
The papers I am using are some of my favs at the mo - Echo Park, Wintertime.
This is as far as I have gone.
My poor neglected blog:( Oh dear, it's been a while but I have been busy at Adam's new house.)
Anyway I have made a card for this challenge, using Sue's sketch. I've never done a card from a sketch before so that was a first.
Next is a card I made for Lucy's nephew who loves Ben 10.
I made a side stepper card as it enabled me to get more images on and it makes it look more action packed (well I thought so anyway!). As long as Jake likes it, that's the main thing.
Adam and Lucy should hopefully complete the purchase of their first home on monday so I have made them a card. It's an A4 card folded lengthwise. The houses are 3d'd but it's not easy to tell from the photo. I will be making a scaled down version for them to send out to family and friends as "We have moved" cards.
My sister in law has asked me to make 2 baby cards for her son and his girlfriend who are expecting their first baby in December. I made one of each as she doesn't know whether they are expecting a boy or girl.
This is last weeks challenge and it's not a page I am proud of and did purely to get points but I only managed 25 of those as I didn't use any numbers.
This cat adopted Holly when she stayed in Portugal last month. The journalling about the cat is in a little envelope tucked behind the smaller photo.
I was asked to make a card for Lucy's nephew who is going to be 3. He loves Toy Story, especially Buzz Lightyear.
The Happy Birthday star and Buzz are hanging off a thin strip of acetate to make them look like they are flying - it might be easier to see from the next picture.
Some lovely scrapbooking paper folded in half on to some bazzill with some birds, his name and a Happy Birthday cut out on my craft robo. On the top right bird's wing I have stuck the numbers 23 on but you can't see it on here and on the first house is a no. 6 which is the number of the house he is hoping to buy.
